As far back as I can remember, I’ve loved the art of storytelling. I love telling stories: I would craft bedtime stories to share with family, I loved hearing stories: I immersed myself in literature throughout my educational journey, and I loved reading stories: our home was always filled with books from all genres and periods, and as a child, I read them all! Danielle Steel, Donald Goines, V.C. Andrews, Stephen King, and Terry McMillan. These authors, among many others, fueled my imagination and deepened my love for written words.

One of the smartest women I know, my mom, ignited my passion for reading at a very young age, as I entered adulthood and started my own family, reading continues to be my source of solace and inspiration. Whether it’s flipping through the pages of a book, enjoying the convenience of an eBook, or immersing myself in an audiobook, I often get lost in the stories I read – a quick “relax & recharge” from the crazy grind of life.
